Grave

Simeon's grave at the Huguenot Cemetery, Dublin carries the following inscription:

"HERE LIETH THE REMAINS OF Mr SIMEON BOILEAU WHO DIED 1st JULY 1767 AGED 50 YEARS.
ALSO THE REMAINS OF THE LATE Mr JOHN BOILEAU HIS BROTHER AND THOSE OF THE LATE THEOPHILUS DESBRISAY ESQ.
THIS STONE WAS ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF THE ABOVE SIMEON, BY HIS SON THOMAS BOILEAU"

This is reproduced in Parkinson 1988 along with a note saying that "Mem. of the Dead Vol III p538 ["Journal for the Preservation of the Memorials of the Dead"?] says that the burials register shows that John Boileau died 1 Feb 1772 aged 50 years and Capt Theophile Desbrisay died 5 July 1772 aged 79 years."

This conflicts with the currently known list of Simeon's siblings, which contains only one 'Jean', who supposedly died 1722. Possibly this error was introduced by a misreading of 1772 as 1722.
